Municipal Aggregation Selects New Retail Supplier

The Town of Chelmsford, MA has executed a new electricity contract with Public Power, a unit of Crius Energy, for its opt-out municipal aggregation

The rate for the town's standard product under the municipal aggregation will be 9.403 cents/kWh. The town said that this compares to National Grid's current winter Basic Service price of 12.673 cents/kWh.

A 100% renewable option available under the aggregation will be priced at 10.089 cents/kWh

The new aggregation prices will be in effect from February 2018 meter reads through November 2020 meter reads

The new prices apply to all rate classes, including residential, small business, and medium and large business accounts.

The new supply contract with Public Power will last 33 months

Previously, Constellation Energy had supplied the aggregation
