Shell New Energies US LLC has entered into a proposed transaction to acquire 43.835% of the issued and outstanding common shares of renewable energy developer Silicon Ranch Corporation, according to an application at FERC

Silicon Ranch is in the business of, among other things, developing solar generation facilities in the United States.

Silicon Ranch Corporation currently owns the Hattiesburg Farm, LLC and SR South Loving LLC facilities. Silicon Ranch is a Delaware corporation owned by a collection of individuals, succession-planning trusts, and private equity investment vehicles, none of which is an electric utility company. Further ownership details were filed confidentially

Hattiesburg owns and operates an approximately 51.5-MWac solar-powered electric generating facility located in Forrest County, Mississippi

SR South Loving owns and operates an approximately 52.5-MWac solar-powered electric generating facility located in Jeff Davis County, Georgia
