Edison Int’l Names Utility Prez to Lead Competitive Subsidiary Focused on New Products/Services

Edison International named Ronald Litzinger, President of utility Southern California Edison since 2011, as President of Edison Energy, the holding company for Edison International’s competitive businesses in emerging sectors of the electric industry.

As described by Edison International, "Edison Energy provides new products and services in an ever-changing energy marketplace, and invests in and partners with technology leaders in the energy space."

"Edison Energy’s goal is to build on Edison International’s core strengths to provide commercial and industrial customers with a range of energy services including power management and electric transportation," Edison International says.

Prior to leading SCE, Litzinger was CEO of Edison Mission Energy.

Pedro Pizarro, formerly president of Edison Mission Energy (EME), will become president of SCE, succeeding Litzinger. The appointments take effect on October 1.
