DC PSC Release Draft Vision Statement For Future Of Distribution Grid (Value-Added, Dynamic Rates)

The DC PSC has issued for public comment Staff’s Proposed Vision Statement for the modernizing the distribution energy delivery system for increased sustainability

Although the statement makes no proposals on the avenue to provide various innovative services (e.g. utility vs. competitive), the statement does call for maximizing the value of Pepco's AMI investment, which could require the offering of dynamic pricing or other innovative or value-added energy management services, raising the question of what entities should provide such services
