A U.S. Gas & Electric subsidiary will undergo a rebranding in at least one state.

Energy Services Providers, Inc., a USG&E electric supplier subsidiary which uses various trade names, typically involving the name of the specific state, has informed the Public Utility Commission of Ohio of its, "future rebranding strategy in the State of Ohio as U.S. Gas & Electric ('USG&E').

"Currently Energy Services Providers, Inc. is utilizing the fictitious name of Ohio Gas & Electric. We kindly request the option to maintain our current electric customers under the Ohio Gas & Electric name and conduct future marketing under the U.S. Gas & Electric name," USG&E told PUCO.

"The timing of the rebranding is scheduled for launch on October 15, 2014," USG&E said.

To date, USG&E has not made similar public filings regarding rebranding its Ohio natural gas supplier, or its suppliers in other states.
