Pennsylvania Pol "Not Gonna Go Away" in Quest for Variable Rate Caps
August 15,2014
ABC-27, Harrisburg, provides an update on legislation to cap variable electric rate plans offered by retail suppliers in Pennsylvania, with the bill's sponsor vowing not to give up despite roadblocks for the bill.
"I'm not gonna go away on this," Representative Robert Godshall, chairman of the House Consumer Affairs Committee, told ABC-27. "There's thousands of people in Pennsylvania that got hurt. AARP is with me. Consumer groups are with me. They all know that something has to be done to prevent this from happening again."
While the bill has passed committee, House leadership is "sitting" on the bill, Godshall said.
