Here's a round-up of retail energy online ads we've encountered in the past week or so. Note: To display ads within the confines of the screen, we've resized certain ads.
Direct Energy
Direct Energy is currently promoting its Nest thermostat bundled offerings through several online ads, including images and text ads. A sampling is below, reflecting 728x90 banners (resized) as well as box ads. Generally, all of these ads link to the landing page directenergy.com/nest. Notably, some of the ads pitch the customer to "come back" to Direct Energy.
IGS Energy
IGS Energy is currently running a campaign emphasizing stable pricing, telling customers that unpredictability should not be part of their electricity plan (e.g. leave spikes to soccer cleats, and leave suspense to the movies). Another ad asks the customer, who is standing behind their electricity plan? For all three of these ads, we have seen the ads as 728x90 horizontal banners, boxed, and vertical banners. We've also encountered a generic IGS Energy logo banner.
EnerNOC
EnerNOC has been promoting a free "eBook" concerning energy costs, with text ads informing customers that they can control costs and increase their bottom line, and also asking customers if their energy bills are too high. The ads generally link to this EnerNOC landing page. In addition to 728x90 horizontal banners, we have see box ads with the same text
