NRG Energy launched a "crowdsourced" search for a President of its newly created NRG Home Division, which as first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, is a new umbrella organization for its mass market retail and customer-facing businesses, including retail energy supply, solar, home services, smart energy, and personal/"on the go" power solutions.

While NRG will entertain energy industry veterans for the position, because NRG Home, "will be bringing new products and services to market which expand dramatically the concept of what conventional retail electricity providers traditionally have provided," NRG said that an executive, financier or entrepreneur with deep experience in "high tech, consumer goods, financial services, cable, entertainment or telecom," may be equally as compelling

NRG said that the President will lead a $6 billion business in NRG Home.
