Spark Energy was expected to begin trading today on the NASDAQ Global Select Market under the ticker symbol "SPKE".

Yesterday, Spark Energy, Inc., announced the pricing of an initial public offering of 3,000,000 shares of its Class A common stock at $18.00 per share.

The company has also granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 450,000 shares of Class A common stock to cover over-allotments, if any. The offering is expected to close on or about August 1, 2014, subject to customary closing conditions.
