New Group Backed By Large Customers Challenging NV Energy Over Use Of Funds From Retail Exit Fees

September 29,2017

The Nevada Independent reports that a new group, the Smart Energy Alliance, is challenging NV Energy over the disposition of exit fees collected from large end users who have left NV Energy supply for competitive retail supply

According to the Independent, members of the Smart Energy Alliance include Switch and the Industrial Customers of Northwest Utilities

The Smart Energy Alliance argues that funds from the exit fees should be returned to ratepayers through a rate decrease, and asked for the PUC to investigate disposition of the funds
