Dayton Power & Light Seeks to Sell Stake in Power Plant

Dayton Power & Light has sought approval from PUCO for a transaction under which it would sell to Duke Energy Kentucky, Inc. its interest in the power plant and related facilities known as East Bend Unit 2

DP&L currently owns a 31% share of East Bend Unit 2, located in Rabbit Hash, Kentucky. The other 69% share is owned by Duke Energy Kentucky.

DP&L's ownership share of East Bend Unit 2 comprises 186 MW, or only about 7%, of DP&L's total capacity of about 2708 MW

DP&L and DEK have agreed on terms of a conveyance of DP&L's interest at a purchase price of $12.4 million,

The closing of the proposed transaction is planned to occur before the end of 2014.
