OCC: Competitive Supply Customers Paid $3.5 Million More Than Default Service In June

The Connecticut OCC issued an updated comparison of residential electric rates from retail suppliers and Standard Service

According to the OCC, in the month of June 2017, over six out of ten residential supplier customers paid more than the Standard Offer in Eversource's territory, and four out of ten residential supplier customers paid more than the Standard Offer in UI's territory

According to the OCC, in the month of June 2017, residential Eversource customers who chose suppliers paid in aggregate $3,324,452.40 more than the Standard Offer for their electric generation

According to the OCC, residential UI customers who chose suppliers paid in aggregate $263,333.29 more than the Standard Offer

According to the OCC, for the rolling year of July 2016 through June 2017, residential consumers who chose a retail supplier paid, in aggregate, $70,425,356.15 more than the Standard Offer
