ERCOT Reports On Impacts From Hurricane Harvey

August 31,2017

ERCOT yesterday filed with the Texas PUC a report concerning the impacts of Hurricane and Tropical Storm Harvey on the reliability of the ERCOT system and operation of the ERCOT market.

The report includes details concerning transmission outages, RUC commitments, generation outages, and reduced demand

"Despite the foregoing storm-related outages, ERCOT has had plenty of generation to meet total system demand and expects to have sufficient generation for the foreseeable future," ERCOT said

Regarding the retail market, ERCOT stated that it has observed no significant loss of residential metering data.
