Reliant Not Disconnecting Any Customers Through Sept. 5

August 29,2017

Reliant has posted a notice on its website stating, "Through Tuesday, September 5, we will not disconnect anyone's power, regardless of circumstance."

Although CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, AEP Texas-Central Division, and Texas-New Mexico Power continue to suspend the completion of disconnect for non-pay orders (for certain TDUs, the suspensions are limited to impacted counties), Sharyland Utilities and Nueces Electric Co-op, which had adopted similar suspensions in advance of Hurricane Harvey's landfall, are resuming performance of DNPs.

AEP Texas Central's most recent market notice indicated that the DNP suspension was extended through August 30 (the suspension could be extended); the other remaining TDUs suspended DNPs until further notice
