Georgia City Taking Denial of Application To Act As Retail Gas Marketer To Court

As anticipated, City of Marietta is appealing the Georgia PSC's denial of the application of Marietta Natural Gas, LLC (MNG), ultimately a unit of the City of Marietta, to become a competitive retail natural gas marketer, the Marietta Daily Journal reports

As previously reported, the PSC denied the City's application, finding that the City did not qualify as a "person" to which a marketer certificate may be issued

The Marietta Daily Journal reports the City of Marietta expects to have "multiple" friend of the court briefs
