NY ESCO Launches, Selling Retail Power Via Wholesale Club/Membership Fee Model

Drift Marketplace, Inc., whose creation and intention to launch a unique retail energy sales model was exclusively first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com a year ago in June 2016 (see story here) , has launched service in New York with its model of charging customers a fixed monthly fee in addition to a pass-through of wholesale electric supply costs.
Drift states that its "subscription fee" for its service is $1 per week.
Interestingly, Drift states on its website that, "We’ll bill you automatically, every Thursday, on the credit card you provided."
Drift has received coverage in the press emphasizing its machine learning algorithms matching generation with its load obligations as part of its business model
