Retail Supplier Dropping Customers To Default Service

February 13,2017

FirstEnergy Solutions is dropping certain Maryland customers, including some in the Potomac Edison service area, to default service if customers do not choose another supplier, as FES will cease serving the customers, the Hagerstown (MD) Herald-Mail reports

It's part of FES's previously reported strategy of exiting the retail business for certain sales channels and FirstEnergy's overall movement away from the competitive business
