AARP Survey: 61% Oppose Door-to-Door Energy Marketing

Nearly two-thirds (61%) of respondents to a survey of Connecticut residents by AARP say that electricity suppliers should not be able to sell their services door to door.
Per the AARP survey, 88% believe Connecticut should continue to require companies to provide consumers with default standard electric supply plans.
79% said that they had been contacted about lower rate offers, while 72% said they had been contacted about switching from their current supplier
