Connecticut Issues Draft on 2011 RPS Compliance, $20 Million in ACPs Assigned

May 13,2014

The Connecticut PURA has issued a draft decision which would determine electric suppliers' compliance with the Connecticut renewable portfolio standards for the year 2011, and would assess various alternative compliance payments

In total, the draft would assess over $20 million in alternative compliance payments. Several suppliers have been assigned ACPs in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, and one supplier would have ACPs in excess of $10 million.

Because the RPS drafts have a history of needing corrections via exceptions, we will not excerpt any data here, but suppliers can view their ACP responsibility under the draft by accessing the draft order here.
