New Default Service Rates Posted For Ohio Electric Utilities

Ohio electric utilities have filed new default service rate components for the period beginning June 1, 2016

The updates include the base energy and capacity charges applicable to SSO customers for the 12 months beginning June 1, 2016, as well as, at certain utilities, recent customary updates to other bypassable rate components

See the various newly updated base SSO rates and other components in the tariffs linked below. The new FirstEnergy rates will generally result in a reduction in customer bills versus current rates, The Cleveland Plain Dealer and Toledo Blade both report
