Direct Energy Parent Raises Capital For New "Customer-Facing" Acquisition

Centrica has raised capital to allow the, "acceleration of the Group’s customer-facing strategy through two prioritised and attractive acquisitions, with combined consideration of around £350m," Centrica said in an announcement of a proposed equity placing

One of these two acquisitions is the previously reported acquisition of Neas Energy A/S, a provider of energy management and revenue optimization services for decentralized third-party owned generation assets

"A further customer-facing acquisition is also nearing completion, with consideration expected to be around £150m," Centrica said in the announcement

Centrica said that the two prioritized and attractive acquisitions would, "accelerate growth and develop capabilities in its customer-facing activities."
