Luminant Completes Purchase of Two NextEra Combined-Cycle Plants in ERCOT

Luminant has closed on its previously reported acquisition of the Forney Power Plant in Forney, Texas with a capacity of 1,912 megawatts, and the Lamar Power Plant in Paris, Texas with a capacity of 1,076 megawatts, from NextEra Energy Resources, LLC

The purchase price for the combined cycle plants was $1.313 billion, which included the repayment of approximately $950 million of existing project financing indebtedness of the plants, plus approximately $214 million for cash and approximately $26 million for net working capital.
