Elizabethtown Gas Default Service Customers To Receive Refund

January 08,2016

Elizabethtown Gas announced that residential and small commercial customers on basic gas supply service will be receiving a supply-related refund in the aggregate amount of $6 million, applied on January bills

The BGSS refund results from the company projecting higher supply rates than what it actually paid for gas supply

The one-time refund is based on the amount of natural gas used during the 12-month period that ended Sept. 30, 2015; a typical residential heating customer who used 1,000 therms will save approximately $26.

Since January 2015, Elizabethtown Gas has provided four BGSS refunds, totaling more than $34 million in cost savings to customers.
