Texas TDU Erroneously Includes Late Fees on REP Delivery Service Bills Issued to Retail Providers

December 24,2015

AEP Texas Central issued a market notice on December 23 that Late Payment Charges (LPCs) were applied to AEP Texas Central Company (TCC) energy delivery invoices due December 21, 2015 in error.

"Late Payment Charges (LPCs) were applied to AEP Texas Central Company (TCC) energy delivery invoices due December 21, 2015 in error due to a system issue in which payments received were not posted correctly," TCC said in the market notice

Late Payment Charges have been suspended and will remain suspended until the system error is corrected and the payments received are applied correctly, TCC said in the market notice

"LPCs charged in error will be refunded once the system error has been resolved," in the market notice

Payments received for AEP Texas North Company (TNC) do not appear to have been affected by the system issue, TCC said in the market notice
