NRG Energy CEO David Crane said this morning that investors should expect the company to announce the sale of various power plants in the, "weeks and months to come."

NRG had first disclosed in September that it was pursuing the sale of certain conventional generating assets.

"We are actively marketing select assets for disposition," Crane updated investors this morning.

Crane said that NRG has seen a "high level" of interest in the assets

Although specific assets were not disclosed, executives had previously said in September that one focus would be on PJM in light of which assets cleared, or did not clear, capacity performance. NRG had previously stressed in September that it is not seeking to leave any region in toto
