Report: Regulated TDU Prices Pushing Texas Retail Provider Prices Higher

The Texas Coalition for Affordable Power published a blog post stating that increases in the cost of regulated transmission and distribution charges in the Texas competitive retail market have outpaced inflation

"Over the years the state’s two largest wires companies have implemented increases that outpace inflation. These rate increases at least partially contribute to the relatively high average prices observed historically in deregulated areas of Texas," TCAP said
