Update: Dallas Councilors Seek Deferral of Consideration of $450 Million TXU Contract

The Dallas Morning News reports that two Dallas city councilors have moved to defer several items added to the last meeting of the outgoing council, including consideration of an 84-month, $450 million electric contract with TXU Energy.

The Morning News notes that councilors favoring consideration of the contract at today's meeting may seek to suspend procedural rules allowing deferrals.
