Energy Marketer's Solicitation Permit Pulled Due To Complaints

A retail energy marketer's permit to solicit door-to-door in Connellsville, PA (southeast of Pittsburgh) has been pulled due to complaints over the sales tactics, TribLive reports.
Complaints alleged that the peddlers, "tried to represent themselves as working for West Penn Power," TribLive reports. Among those who received door-to-door sales call was the Connellsville Police Chief
The marketer was selling service from Constellation Energy. Constellation has suspended the independent agents in question while it looks into the matter.

All of the independent agents hired by our vendors receive comprehensive training. We and our vendors expect sales agents to follow the highest degree of behavior and compliance with local and state regulations," Constellation said in a statement.
