GDF SUEZ Energy Resources Renews Agreement With Gulf Chemical & Metallurgical

May 20,2015

GDF SUEZ Energy Resources announced that it has renewed through early 2017 an energy agreement with Gulf Chemical & Metallurgical Corporation, which includes the supply of RECs and peak load curtailment services for the Gulf Chemical & Metallurgical's Freeport recycling facility

Under the renewed agreement, GCMC will offset 10 percent of its electricity consumption with Green-e Certified RECs provided by GDF SUEZ Energy Resources.

GDF SUEZ Energy Resources will also continue to provide GCMC with ERCOT price and peak load alert services at no cost to support the company's strategy of curtailing usage during periods of high consumption to decrease demand on the grid.
