Consumer Group Seeks Retail Suppliers' Data Reported Concerning Utility's Merchant Function Exit

The Ohio Partners for Affordable Energy has requested that the Public Utility Commission of Ohio provide it with data collected by Staff from retail suppliers and Dominion East Ohio concerning DEO's exit from the merchant function.
As part of DEO's exit from the merchant function, retail suppliers were directed to provide various information to Staff to monitor performance of the market.
Such information includes info related to suppliers' customer base, their investment in the communities, and any new products or service offerings in the region
Other data collected includes revenues data and DEO reports concerning supplier customer counts
An attorney examiner established a procedural schedule for suppliers to petition for confidential treatment of the data sought by OPAE.
