March 17,2015

A Massachusetts State Rep. has declared, on Facebook, that a billboard from Gulf Electricity has, "set[] women back 50 years," according to SouthCoastToday.com

As described by SouthCoastToday.com the billboard, using one of Gulf's many puns, "depicts a female leg wearing a stiletto heel poking a light switch," with the tagline, "Are we turning you on yet?"

State Rep. Carole Fiola, Democrat, took to Facebook to declare that, "This billboard sets women back 50 years":

Landmark advancements for women over the past 50 years (give or take) include the Violence Against Women Act, Equal Pay Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Eisenstadt v. Baird, Roe v. Wade, and Title IX. Apparently, Fiola believes this billboard has the power to repeal all of these
