The Borough of Brookhaven, Pennsylvania issued the following "police alert" on its official website, brookhavenboro.com, concerning the revocation of a soliciting permit for Commerce Energy, due to "inappropriate issues":

"Please be advised that the soliciting permit for COMMERCE ENERGY to solicit In the Borough of Brookhaven has been PULLED as of 3/28/2014 1300 hrs.

"The permit was pulled as a result of the solicitors refusing to abide by the agreed permit regulations. There were additional inappropriate issues discovered as well by Borough secretaries and Council President Sue Truesdale that would void the permit and allow it to be pulled.

"If you encounter solicitors from COMMERCE ENERGY, don't hesitate to call the police via 911. Commerce Energy is very aware that they no longer possess a permit to solicit in Brookhaven.
