Four Retail Energy Door-to-Door Sales Agents Arrested

Four retail energy door-to-door sales agent were arrested in Millsboro, Delaware, WMDT reports.

Charges included soliciting without a permit, and for certain of the agents, possession of marijuana, and outstanding capias (similar to a warrant), and hindering prosecution.

The agents were soliciting for Commerce Energy. Commerce Energy provided RetailEnergyX.com with the following statement:

"Commerce Energy has taken immediate action. Following our investigation, Jerrex Gonzalez-Rivera and Eric Meadows have been terminated. The other two Independent Contractors who were also marketing in the area, will cease marketing until they have undergone retraining."
