Oklahoma Utility Regulator Opens Inquiry Of Retail Electric Choice

The Public Utility Division at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission recently issued a notice, amending a prior inquiry concerning the evoking energy landscape and utility industry, to specifically include electricity restructuring as an issue for inclusion, the Oklahoman reports

The Oklahoman reports the Division took such action after learning of efforts from the Alliance for Electrical Restructuring in Oklahoma to bring the issue before lawmakers and elected corporation commissioners.

Notably, the Alliance for Electrical Restructuring has proposed allowing commercial customers to elect an alternative electric supplier
