The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio issued civil forfeitures of $1,000 each on various entities, including retail suppliers and brokers, which PUCO found failed to file a 2019 annual report for fiscal assessment
The effective date of the forfeitures was delayed 30 days to afford the affected companies an opportunity to file applications for rehearing pursuant to R.C. 4903.10.
PUCO said that entities that do not file by September 25, 2020 will be in noncompliance of a Commission directive and could be assessed an additional forfeiture pursuant to R.C. 4905.54 and 4905.84. Failure to file could also result in the Commission rescinding the entities’ certificate and order them to cease providing regulated service in the state of Ohio under the listed certificate, PUCO said
