PJM Issues Notice Of Resettlement Of Regulation Billing

February 27,2020

PJM issued a market notice stating, "PJM did not use the correct bias factor when calculating the Regulation Lost Opportunity Cost (LOC) settlement for hydro units."

PJM said in the notice that, "PJM is authorized and obligated under section 10.4 of its PJM Open Access Transmission Tariff and section 15.6 of its Amended and Restated Operating Agreement of PJM Interconnection, L.L.C., to issue adjusted billing statements to correct such errors for a period going back no more than 2 years from notifying Market Participants of such error. Given this letter serves as notification, PJM will rebill for any such erroneously provided Regulation billing back to February 1, 2018."

"PJM will provide more details including the associated dollars and timing of when you expect to see billing adjustments as this information becomes available," PJM said in the market notice
