The Bangor Daily News published results from a report from the Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting/Pine Tree Watch which says that from 2012-2018, Maine residential customers on competitive retail supply paid in aggregate $132 million more than the Standard Offer
Small businesses on competitive retail supply in aggregate paid $33 million more than SOS for the same period
For the year 2018, residential customers on competitive retail supply paid $20 million more than SOS in aggregate, and small businesses on competitive retail supply paid $4 million more than SOS in aggregate, the report said
