Retail Supplier To Pay Nearly £9 Million Under Settlement With Ofgem

Ovo Energy has agreed to pay £8.9m for what U.K. regulator Ofgem said was, "issuing inaccurate or incomplete information to customers, and for under and overcharging customers due to IT issues."

Some of these errors led to customers being over or undercharged.

Separately, Ofgem said that Utility Warehouse is to refund and compensate 3,430 Warm Home Discount customers with £450,000 after it overcharged them, due to a system error, when the price cap was applied
