Texas Residents Question City Leaders Why Electric Choice Not Available At Co-op

January 17,2020

Several residents of Copperas Cove, Texas, during a town hall meeting about a proposed opt-in aggregation program for the city to be run by iChoosr, expressed dissatisfaction that residents within the service area of Hamilton Electric Cooperative (rather than Oncor which serves other residents in the City) cannot take advantage of electric choice, the Copperas Cove Herald reports

The two residents pressed city leaders, as their representatives, to find out what can be done to extend choice to co-op customers

The Copperas Cove Herald further reports some customers expressed skepticism with the opt-in aggregation proposal
