Long Island (NY) Town Says LIPA A "Stumbling Block" To Municipal Aggregation, Presses Lawmakers

Newsday reports that Brookhaven Town, on Long Island in New York, has called LIPA a "stumbling block" to implementing an opt-out municipal aggregation for electricity, and has voiced concerns in a letter to lawmakers

The town cites the lack of a LIPA tariff concerning community choice aggregation. LIPA is not generally subject to PSC jurisdiction

Brookhaven has over 190,000 LIPA customers
