ERCOT Provides Notice Of Expected Date For Rayburn Integration Into ERCOT

ERCOT said in a market notice that Rayburn Country Electric Cooperative Inc. has now given notice to ERCOT and the PUC that it intends to complete the transfer of its load from SPP into ERCOT on January 6, 2020.

Rayburn has submitted to ERCOT a cutover plan for the integration, which ERCOT has approved. Further, Rayburn and Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (Oncor) have indicated that the transmission facilities necessary to effectuate the integration are expected to be complete in time for a January 6, 2020, integration.

Accordingly, ERCOT provided notice to Market Participants that the integration is expected to occur on January 6, 2020, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

As required by the Commission’s Order, ERCOT and Rayburn will provide a final notice to the Commission at least 48 hours before the integration becomes operational. ERCOT will issue a Market Notice at the time the final notice is filed with the Commission. ERCOT will also issue a Market Notice should the expected integration date change.
