EDP Renewables And Shell Energy North America Execute Long-Term Agreement For 200 MW Solar Project

November 07,2019

EDP Renewables SA (EDPR), through its fully owned subsidiary EDP Renewables North America LLC (EDPR NA), and Shell Energy North America (US), L.P. (SENA), have closed on a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) for 200 megawatts (MW) for development of the Sandrini Solar Park to Kern County, California.

Located near Bakersfield, the 200 MW Sandrini Solar Park, which is anticipated to be operational in 2022, represents an estimated capital investment of more than $200 million

In addition to being Sandrini's sole energy offtaker through the long-term PPA, SENA will also purchase 100 percent of the environmental attributes, including the renewable energy credits and capacity.
