ComEd, Exelon Subpoenaed In Investigation Of Another Politician

October 15,2019

Crain's Chicago Business reports that Commonwealth Edison and Exelon received a grand jury subpoena Oct. 4 requiring, "production of records of any communications with certain individuals and entities, including Illinois State Senator Martin Sandoval."

It's the second issuance of a subpoena to the companies since this summer, as the companies had previously been served concerning information related to former Southwest Side Ald. Michael Zalewski

Ongoing investigations may chill any appetite for potential legislative changes which may impact the retail electric market, including a capacity market carve-out
