Austin Energy Customers Facing Rate Hike Due To Plant Outages, Lack Of Wind During ERCOT Scarcity

Austin Energy customers are facing a rate hike due to the municipal utility having to rely on market purchases during peak ERCOT prices earlier this month.

The market purchases were needed due to Austin Energy generation outages and a reduction in the muni's wind generation production.
