Arizona Republic Columnist Favor Electric For Residential Customers As Well As C&Is

August 16,2019

Robert Robb, columnist for the Arizona Republic, wrote a column favoring electric choice for all customers, including residential, and not only larger C&I customers as proposed by Arizona Corporation Commission Staff (apart from municipal aggregation) (see this story for details on Staff's proposal

Robb expressed concern that allowing only large C&I customers to shop, even during a transition, would expose residential customers to higher rates

Robb also writes, "While the support for electricity deregulation on the commission is a pleasant surprise, I remain skeptical that this turns out to be a serious effort."
