Mass. Official Cautions Customers Thinking of Shopping: "Prices Are Going To Come Down Again"

January 26,2015

In a story in the MetroWest (MA) Daily News on increased customer interest in electricity shopping, Ron Gerwatowski, Massachusetts' assistant secretary for energy, gave a word of caution to customers thinking of shopping in the face of significant hikes in basic service rates.

Gerwatowski said that there may be some good deals in the market, but also cautioned that customers need to, "understand these prices are going to come down again."

The MetroWest Daily News also reports on increase interest from customers in suppliers, such as NRG Home, who haven't received direct marketing from the company due to the basic service rate increases, and growth at Gulf Electricity
