Crain's Chicago Business reports that the proposal was led by "democratic socialists"
35th Ward Ald. Carlos Ramirez-Rosa said in a statement that, through municipalization, Chicago could, among other things, implement a, "progressive rate structure that ensures better rates for working-class Chicagoans."
