SSE Sheds 70,000 Retail Customers In Quarter, Reiterates Plan To Exit Retail Energy Biz

In a trading update, SSE reported that SSE Energy Services lost 70,000 domestic energy customers in the U.K. from March 31, 2019 to June 30, 2019, ending the period at 5.71 million domestic energy customer accounts
SSE reiterated that leadership of SSE Energy Services has been given a mandate, "to deliver a new future for the business outside of the SSE Group and continue progress towards a listing or new ownership by the second half of calendar year 2020."
