Australia Consumer Advocacy Group Ends Retail Energy Auto-Switching Service, Citing Costs

Choice, an Australian consumer advocacy group, recently ended an experimental auto switching service for retail energy supply, citing "costs of running the service and collecting data," the New Daily reports

The service, called Transformer which cost AUS$99 for a 12-month period, would automatically switch customers to the best retail energy plan(s) during the term

Choice noted that several state governments have launched comparison services that provide actual bill comparisons under various plans, though not necessarily auto-switching
