June 27,2019

A record number of Australian customers are switching retail energy suppliers, the Sydney Morning Herald reports

As previously reported, the big three Tier I gentailers (e AGL, Origin and EnergyAustralia) continue to account for 66% of the residential electric market, customers have increasingly switched away from Tier 1 retailers across most jurisdictions

The Sydney Morning Herald notes that, of customers who switched electricity retailers, most ditched the ‘big three’ and joined smaller competitors
